Located in the Eastern Wheatbelt town of Hyden, The Ag Shop was established in 2012 as a small family run operation specialising in the supply of agricultural parts and service supplies. Andrew and Astrid Mead set up The Ag Shop with the aim of providing a friendly and honest local business that supports the local country businesses and communities both small and large.
Expansion over the years has seen us pave the way into other exciting ventures that have complimented and diversified our product range and services on offer.
The team at The Ag Shop understand, first hand, the difficulties faced in operating a business in remote areas and hope that we are able to make this easier for our customers. 2016 saw us expand our operation to include becoming a freight depot for Stirling Freight Express, offering a freight delivery service 5 nights a week. This has helped us to keep you going when it counts the most!
We currently service the local communities of Corrigin, Kulin, Pingaring, Newdegate, Holt Rock, Varley, Narembeen, Mount Walker and Hyden. We also have many statewide customers and are constantly aiming at expanding our customer base, and are capable to take orders over the phone and are able to send products directly to you. Our aim is to be able to reach remote customers and make their experience as smooth as possible.
Here at The Ag Shop we are able to source most agricultural, industrial and automotive parts and supplies as well as clothing, toys and general household goods, covering many different brands and needs. We also offer a variety of services including parts interpretation, filter cross referencing and hydraulic hose assembly and repair. We supply a large range of batteries, bearings, oils, filters, electrical, bolts, tools, and all your workshop/industrial needs. In recent years, our parts and service supplies have expanded to include the Mining Sector. We are a registered firearms dealer and are able to assist with all your licencing and storage requirements, as well as weapon and ammunition purchases.
Andrew and Astrid have been involved in the transport, agricultural and engineering industries. This has included being involved in the transportation of commodities, livestock and crop inputs as well as practical farming experience. Andrew has a hands on approach to life that has seen this business continue to grow from year to year, and we hope that through offering our customers a reliable, professional and personal service we can continue to grow. It is through your support that we can remain a competitive company that can continue to service your needs locally.
We believe strongly in investing in the rural community and giving back to the communities that support us. As our service area encompasses such a large area of the Eastern Wheatbelt and beyond, we support a number of regional sporting clubs and community events and are members of the Wheatbelt Business Network, supporting other rural businesses.
